Original Sister (www.originalsister.com) is an exciting new range of girls’ clothing that’s attracting rave reviews and a rapidly-growing following for its premium quality, mix-and-match contemporary classics.

Originally sold exclusively on-line, we have recently finished a successful party plan/direct selling trial and are now looking to expand our consultant network.

This is an extremely exciting time for our business, and we are looking for both consultants and potential team leaders who are attracted by the opportunity of working with a young, entrepreneurial business with a fabulous product.

Our success lies in the fact that we provide Mums with a style of girls’ clothing that they can’t easily find elsewhere: ‘go-to’ plainer, but still highly-stylish and beautifully tailored, wardrobe staples that perfectly complement more easily available season prints and brights. Extremely versatile, our pieces work well on younger and older girls alike (including those tricky tweens!). We cater for ages 2-12 years.

Recruitment dates: Spring/Summer 2012 induction – Dec/Jan. Most immediately, we are looking for consultants and team-leaders to join our formal Spring/Summer 2012 induction programme. This will take place in December/early January in preparation for the SS12 range arriving in mid-January.

Mid-season: Depending on individual circumstance we are happy for consultants to join us mid-season and can tailor induction and commission packages appropriately.

Consultant/team leader profile
We offer a supportive and collegiate environment focused on helping you to maximise sale revenue. We also offer a flexible remuneration structure. In return, we are looking for individuals with a committed and professional approach and a ‘can do’ attitude. You will prefer the latitude that comes with working in smaller, fleet-of-foot organisations and the genuine opportunity to make your mark. Team leader candidates will have an appetite to recruit, develop and manage their own local consultant networks. Consultants, either as a matter of personal preference or because of other commitments, prefer to concentrate on their own sales activity rather than manage other consultants.

A track record in direct selling/party plan would be valuable but is not a pre-requisite as full training and on-going mentoring/support will be provided.
Party planners come from a wide variety of career backgrounds but what they have in common is professionalism, an absolute focus on customer service and a genuine enthusiasm for the product.
Key highlights of the Original Sister consultant’s role

As a consultant representing the Original Sister range, you will be home-based and self-employed. The hours you work are determined by your lifestyle/family commitments and your appetite for selling.
• Minimum up-front commitment. We offer consultants the option of leasing or purchasing a season’s range.
• Flexible commission structure. Unlike many direct-selling organisations, we have a highly-flexible commission structure that rewards both steadier and higher-performing revenue generators in recognising cumulative and target-specific revenues. Commission starts at 20% of net sales.
• Direct-to-customer order despatch. Again unlike many direct sales operations, we prefer our consultants to concentrate on selling rather than courier logistics! Consequently, all orders are processed centrally and despatched directly to the customer’s specified delivery address within a target of 5 working days. Returns/exchanges are also processed centrally.
• Centrally-subsidised marketing and sales support. In addition to the traditional consultant-driven elements of the direct-selling/party plan role, which are a pre-requisite, we also work with our consultants to identify additional, complementary sales support opportunities. Depending on the nature of a particular event, these events will either be centrally-funded or partially-subsidised. We also offer a variety of other professional marketing initiatives to support your routine sales activities.
